Spring Reading

This winter has been mighty mighty cold, and with the fatigue/nausea on full time along with the frigid air, reading has been my savior. Now that spring is making promises (I hope she can keep!) I think I'm going to carry my reading trend into the warmer months.

To add fuel to my reading fire, I also received the BBC List of 100 Top books (along with the stat that most people have read very few of them).

My count is about 47 but I definitely want to up that number. I started with Atonement (the library scene and the green dress were memories from the movie), re-read the Da Vinci Code (and remembered how it really shocked my Protestant self at the time with its sex rites and scandalous Catholic church), and plan to re-read Rebecca, The Hobbit and Watership Down.

Some of the books on there I have no desire to pick up again: Harry Potter #1, The Kite Runner, Lolita.

Here's what I've read recently and enjoyed over the past bit and what I'm looking forward to reading soon. What's on your list?

Rules of Civility was a delightful vacay read about life and love in NYC in the 30s and beyond.
