My Boston Rex: Louis is shopping at its finest and yoga dance party

Am in Boston this weekend for a friend's wedding and have a couple of recommendations: FREEDOM JOY YOGA at Back Bay Yoga is a hilariously fun dance party/yoga class at 7 pm every Friday night. Now, I love me some yoga and music and dancing, but I was completely unprepared for the full on dance party that this became. Awesome techno dance hits set the baseline for a pretty chill vinyasa flow but what really made it rock was rolling up our mats after the first 20 or so minutes for some crazy booty shaking, sweat flinging freestyle dance.

Thank goodness the class was packed with limber gay men. They really brought out the diva in all of us. It also helped that the lights were off. I think my eyes were closed most of the time too.

Before I blissed out in yoga, I headed from my hotel to the Sea Port district not far from Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market to check out Louis Boston's new digs. What a gorgeous building with stunning views of the water!!!!

They carry beautiful brands like: Jason Wu, Jonathan Saunders, Marni, Roland Mouret, the Row and Victoria Beckham. Fall 2011 is REALLY dark for the most part, so I really wasn't tempted (especially when a blouse will run you $895), but they also sell some great obscure toiletries. The LOUIS point of view is also pretty specific (more conceptual), so if you're into more ladylike or classic styles, this is not the place.
